SEDE 101
You don't need a luxury resort to turn your bathroom into a real retreat. Here's how to build a proper soak, step by step.
Step 1: Set the Scene
Before you run the water, take a few minutes to prepare the room:
-
Light a candle or two around the tub
-
Bring in a small plant or a fresh fern if you have one nearby
-
Put on music — just keep any device safely away from the water
-
Set a fresh towel within easy reach, so you're not scrambling for one later
-
Put your phone somewhere you can't see it
This isn't about the water yet — it's about giving yourself permission to actually stop.
Step 2: Choose Your Scent
Pick the SEDE blend that matches the mood you want, not just the one on hand:
-
Awake, if you're soaking in the morning or want something bright
-
Sleep, if this is your wind-down before bed
-
Recovery, if you want something fresh and invigorating
-
Pure, if you'd rather skip scent altogether
Step 3: Fill the Tub
Run the water warm — not scalding. As the tub fills, add one cup of your SEDE Magnesium Bath Soak right into the flow from the faucet, letting it swirl and dissolve as it mixes into the water. This helps it dissolve fully before you get in, rather than sitting in a clump at the bottom.
Step 4: Soak
Step in, and settle — twenty to thirty minutes is the sweet spot. Long enough to actually unwind, not so long you're just watching the water go cold. Engage your senses while you're in there: breathe in the scent, feel the water as you bring it up over your shoulders in cupped palms, and let your eyes rest on the candlelight. If you brought a book, a playlist, or nothing at all, this is the part where you use it.
Step 5: Rinse and Dry
When you're done, rise slowly rather than jumping straight out, and pat yourself dry rather than rubbing — leaving a little of that just-soaked feeling on your skin.
Step 6: Layer Your Ritual
This is the step most people skip, and it's worth adding back in. While your skin is still slightly damp:
-
Magnesium Oil — shake well, spray 4-5 times, massage in.
-
Magnesium Lotion — apply generously right after, to seal it in.
Two minutes, and you've turned a bath into a full ritual.
Step 7: Make It a Habit, Not a Special Occasion
The real difference between a "nice bath" and an actual ritual is repetition. Two to three soaks a week, at roughly the same time, turns this from something you do occasionally into something your week is actually built around.
Pure Ingredients. Real Recovery. Feel the SEDE Difference.
